Ms. Holiday, a member of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, has been at the forefront of tribal energy development for more than 20 years. She is the Founder and President of Michelle Holiday and Associates, a Native woman-owned consulting company specializing in tribal energy and economic development, stakeholder relations, government
relations/federal affairs, permitting and tribal strategic planning. She has had an expansive career advising senior executives as their subject matter expert on energy policy, utilities, business strategy and tribal matters. Prior to founding her consulting company, Ms. Holiday worked for Edison International and Southern California Edison.
While at Edison, she held various management positions of increasing responsibility, including energy policy, large transmission and renewable projects, stakeholder engagement and diversity initiatives. After more than 20 years of public affairs, tribal and energy industry experience, Holiday is uniquely positioned to help her clients successfully navigate from the tribal council chamber to corporate boardroom and Congressional offices. Previously, Ms. Holiday also served the Director of Tribal Development for the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma. She also sits on the board of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development and serves on the Walking Shield Inc. Board of Directors and one of the 20 Ambassadors for the Department of Energy’s Minority in Energy Initiative. Holiday formerly served on the National Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of America.
As a member of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, Ms. Holiday – also known as Na-Sta’ Peme, or “Good Heart Woman” – is deeply connected to her tribal heritage, which continues to contribute greatly to her identity, career path, work ethic and commitment to helping to represent Native American tribes. Ms. Holiday holds a B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration from the California State University, Long Beach.
