Michael is a tenured professor of Computer Science at NYU, in the Courant Institute. He is a world expert in verifiability and integrity of computation, and has published on topics including computer security, applied cryptography, and systems. His academic awards include best paper at SOSP, distinguished student paper at IEEE "Oakland",
a Sloan Research Fellowship, an Air Force Young Investigator Award, and an NSF CAREER award. He received his B.A. from Harvard and his Ph.D. from MIT, both in Computer Science.
