Mike Tinker joined WesternZagros in January 2012, leading the Company’s exploration appraisal and new ventures geotechnical work in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Mr. Tinkler brings with him over 30 years of international experience that includes managerial positions with Husky Energy’s Southeast Asia Division, where he led the discovery of three
major gas fields in the South China Sea, and many years with Hunt Oil in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Mr. Tinkler holds a Master of Science, Geophysics, from Oxford University and a Bachelor of Science, Physics, from London University. He is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists.
