Michael joined Yelp in 2007 as a software engineer to help to rebuild the search engine. Over the years, Michael was promoted to more senior roles and led developer recruiting; as Vice President of Engineering, he is now responsible for overseeing the company's rapidly expanding engineering team and leads the company's technical recruiting efforts.
Prior to Yelp, Michael was a senior software engineer and tech lead for the AdSense Traffic Quality team at Google. Michael holds a B.S. in computer science from Purdue University.
