Dr. Shuler is a hand and upper extremity surgeon at Athens Orthopedic Clinic in Athens, GA. He is a clinical faculty member at the Georgia University Regents and University of Georgia School of Medicine and is active in clinical research including disorders of the hand and upper extremity as well as acute compartment syndrome (ASC). He is part of
an active grant from the Department of Defense to explore non-invasive monitoring for ACS.
Dr. Shuler graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He trained at Emory University in Orthopedic Surgery and completed a hand and microsurgery fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery with additional qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.
