Michael Schmidt was formerly the a Co-Founder and Chairman at Algomi.
Before joining Algomi, Michael’s background includes a 14-year career at Deutsche Bank and a 10-year at UBS, always heading Fixed Income Trading and Sales teams regionally and globally.
Michael's last positions at UBS were Co-Head of European Credit Trading, Global Head
of UBS FI Retail Trading and Member of the IB Board of UBS Switzerland. Under Michael's leadership, his teams pioneered a number of market leading electronic trading platforms including DB Autobahn, UBS Wealth Management/Investment Bank Connectivity Hub in addition to introducing the first algorithmic pricing tools in Corporate Bonds.
Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from University of Dusseldorf.
