Michael Rastiello has spent nearly his entire life in Dover, New Jersey, where family, familiarity, and community have long shaped his identity. Though he made a move to Florida in 2021, the shift was short-lived. By 2023, he returned to New Jersey, choosing to stay close to those who matter most to him. At 66 years old, his priorities are

clear—time with his wife of 44 years, his three children, and his four grandchildren remain central to the life he leads today.

Throughout his journey, he has lived by a steady commitment to routine, reliability, and personal discipline. His unwavering focus on health and fitness is a reflection of how he approaches all aspects of life: with intention and long-term effort. This same approach defined his presence in the lives of others, particularly through his decades of work as a youth sports coach. Whether leading a team or mentoring young players, he brought patience, stability, and a belief in steady growth.

His academic background includes time at Kennedy Western University and the Academy of Advanced Transportation. While these programs provided a formal education in logistics, the bulk of his expertise was built through years of practical, hands-on experience. He learned not by shortcuts, but by repetition and the hard-earned lessons that come from doing a job thoroughly and consistently.

Professionally, he spent more than 30 years working in logistics, including 24 years as Director of Logistics and Transportation at Casio America. In that role, he managed complex freight and transportation systems, oversaw global operations, and ensured the timely and effective movement of goods. His leadership was not loud or attention-seeking; it was dependable, measured, and focused on getting the job done right. He was honored with the title of Employee of the Year in both 2005 and 2009—recognitions earned through steady performance rather than self-promotion.

Outside the office, he built a second legacy through coaching. For over 30 years, he coached youth and high school football, including 20 years as the head coach of the Rockaway Township Football Program. He also coached softball for 10 years and baseball for five. While his teams often reached championship success—including undefeated seasons—his focus was never on trophies. His priority was building character, teaching sportsmanship, and giving young people the confidence to grow both on and off the field.

His community acknowledged his impact through a nomination to the Morris County Youth Football Hall of Fame and a proclamation from the Mayor of Rockaway Township. These honors recognized not just years of involvement, but the steady, positive influence he brought to young athletes and their families.
