Michael O’Hara joined TransMedics in September 2012, bringing over 17 years of Quality Assurance and R&D experience in the medical device industry.
Prior to joining TransMedics, Mr. O’Hara was Director of Global Quality Assurance, supporting the design, development and manufacture of cardiac assist devices at Abiomed, Inc. Prior to this, he
was Manager of the quality engineering team that supported the design and development of various disposable vascular products at Medtronic, and he held R&D and Quality Assurance roles in the design and development of infusion pumps and other capital equipment at Baxter Healthcare.
Mr. O’Hara earned a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University, and a M.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
