Michael has spent most of his life developing businesses as an ambitious self-starter and entrepreneur. Michael's first entrepreneurial venture as a young professional involved creating and leading the growth plans for a regional life insurance company. started at the start of high school, Michael's first entrepreneurial venture as a young professional involved creating and leading the growth plans for a regional life insurance company. Michael created a vision plan for his idea of the financial services business a short time later, in 1988. The vision plan, which is based on independent and servant leadership, continues to govern his businesses to this day. Michael put his strategy into effect in 1992. He launched Founders Financial, Inc. to help independent financial advising firms across the country, and Brooks Financial Group, Inc. to support independent financial consulting firms in the United States. Brooks Financial Group, Inc. has prospered under his guidance. Michael, a native of Baltimore, graduated from Calvert Hall College High School in 1979 and Towson University in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics. Michael holds a Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College and works with Founders Financial Securities, LLC as an Investment Advisor Representative. Michael is a past president of the Calvert Hall College High School Board of Trustees and the Baltimore Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals Board of Directors. Michael was honoured into the Hall of Fame at Calvert Hall College High School in 2017. Michael's main motivation is to help others, and his main areas of focus are his family, faith, and fostering leadership to meet the needs of those in his care.
