Michael Nogen is the co-founder and General Partner of Overton Venture Capital, a seed-stage venture capital firm investing in transformative brands and services meeting the challenges and opportunities of today’s rapidly evolving consumer. Select investments include: Perch, Wethos, Joyux, Stantt, The Inside, Toolbx and Grapevine.
Before
launching Overton, Michael worked at 1800Flowers.com, where he was VP, Brand Strategy and Finance. Prior to 1800Flowers.com, he was Director of Global Strategy at Gap brand where he was responsible for accelerating brand growth and identifying emerging trends and category merchandising opportunities. Before Gap, Michael was a consultant at Kurt Salmon (now Accenture), a retail management consulting firm where he worked on key business transformation projects for a number of large apparel and grocery retail clients. Before his career in retail, and before earning an MBA at NYU, Michael launched a premium contemporary maternity apparel design and manufacturing business, growing distribution to 200+ global specialty and department store retailers and launching the maternity category for Zappos.com.
Michael holds a BA from Wabash College in history, a MA in Public Policy from Middlebury’s Institute of International Studies at Monterey and received his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business.
