Michael McCarthy is the President and Chief Executive Officer at SMBC Rail Services. Mr. McCarthy is responsible for overall portfolio strategy as well as leading the pricing methodology for both direct and Secondary Market opportunities. The majority of Mr. McCarthy's 20 year career has been spent in the railcar leasing industry, where he has
worked for well-known lessors, including Flagship/AIG Rail, GE Rail Services and GATX. Mr. McCarthy also worked at Merrill Lynch Capital, where he was VP of Financial Planning and Analysis. Mr. McCarthy holds an MBA in Finance from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University.
