Michael Leafer is the Founder and President of Leaf Management, a corporation specializing in rehabilitating and managing homes. Leaf Management provides private financing for residential contractors and real estate investors. After spending the majority of his career developing and creating home security systems, Michael launched into the real
estate and home improvement industry driven by a life-long passion. Today, his company, Leaf Management oversees dozens of homes in the Boston area. An innovator entrepreneur, Michael Leafer has successfully started and operated two companies over the span of his career.
The first 30 years of his his career, Michael Leafer developed MHL Protection Systems, Inc, where he designed and installed auto and home security systems. The company grew to be an established source of quality and innovation for the Boston and greater New England area market. The company was featured in several local magazines.
Michael's commitment to developing trusting relationships with this client base helped establish his current position and company, Leaf Management. As the founder and CEO of the company, Michael's strong communication skills and dedication to finding innovative ways to improve homes and apartments has positioned the company for early and sustained success.
As a real estate expert, Michael skillfully finds and purchases the right homes for the right price. With his finger on the pulse, under Michael's insightful guidance, the company has performed well amid the competitive Boston market. What does Michael Leafer look for in a house to rehab or rent? To start, location plays a big role. Second, Michael is quick to find homes that may not look attractive in their current state. While this may ward off many prospective buyers, Michael is able to see past outdated trends. Michael credits his life-long love of working with his hands as the joy behind this recent shift in professions. Most recently, Michael Leafer and his team renovated a house in Brockton Massachusetts. A once stylish home in the 1970s, a lot of the decor has since gone out of vogue and now appeared tacky and cluttered. With his keen eye for style and the potential of his home, Leafer et al replaced the pale green sinks with sleek white pieces, took out walls to open up the floor plan, and updated the kitchen to feature more modern cabinets and countertops. What used to be a vestige of suburbia is now perfectly suited for a young family looking to live in New England.
Today, Michael enjoys spending time with his family. An avid golfer, on any ordinary day, Michael is usually working on a home or teeing off at the golf course.
