As president of the North Central Division of Gambro Healthcare from July 2000 until January 2004, Mr. Klein led Gambro's largest business division. Under his leadership, net revenue increased from $450 million to approximately $620 million and EBITDA margins expanded from approximately 13% to approximately 25%. At Gambro, he emphasized the
crucial role of clinical quality, implementing a continuous quality improvement program and standardized clinical care pathways that improved patient outcomes.
Mr. Klein previously was President and CEO of SSI Surgical Services, Inc., a provider of specialty surgical instrument management programs, on-site sterile process management and off-site sterilization services. He also was co-founder, president, and CEO of Urotherapies, Inc., a urology physician management company. Mr. Klein also held senior positions at Caremark International, Inc. and Baxter.
