Michael Ilyichev is an exec and networker with more than ten years of experience in the media. From 2002 Michael played a significant role in the creation of revenue streams across a host of digital platforms, including DVD, mobile telephony and web, for TNT, one of Russia’s primary terrestrial television channels.
From 2009 to 2011 Michael headed
up Russian video hosting service Rutube after its strategic acquisition by the country’s largest media holding, Gazprom-Media. During his time at Rutube the company achieved growth of more than 100% p.a. and became the largest video hosting service in Russia and the CIS.
Michael is an evangelist of online video advertising, having made a significant contribution to the establishment and development of this sector in Russia. He was the key mover in the creation of sales house Gazprom-Media Digital, which has grown to become the biggest seller of online video advertising in Russia.
MI is experienced in mentoring and investing in IT products, including native ads engine Relap.io Acquired by Mail.ru Group. Michael continues to focus on strategic business management, marketing and commerce in his role as CEO of Dream Industries which incubated Zvooq (music streaming), Bookmate (e-books) and DI_Telegraph (co-working and event space).
