Senior counsel with the law firm of Buechler & Garber since October 2016, Michael Guyerson holds an AV rating through Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a two-time winner of the Donald E. Cordova Faculty of Federal Advocates Distinguished Service Award for Pro Bono legal services in bankruptcy matters. Over the years, Michael Guyerson has chaired
or co-chaired a number of highly specialized committees, including the Agricultural Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and the Commercial and Banking Litigation Subcommittee for the Tenth Circuit Court.
Michael Guyerson’s significant legal accomplishments include securing an $11.4 million verdict in the 1992 breach of partnership and acquisition agreement case of Goodman International/Consolidated Pet Foods v. Larson. As debtor's counsel for Rancher Energy Corp, he engendered full repayment to all unsecured creditors and a return to equity of over $1.5 million in cash.
Outside of the professional environment, Mr. Guyerson is an avid outdoorsman who loves to run and fly fish. Along with his dog, he as hiked all 480 miles of the Colorado Trail.
