Michael is the Head of TD Securities’ Global Mining Group and has more than 16 years experience in the investment banking business. Michael joined TD Securities from Newcrest Capital, which was acquired by TD in 2000. Michael was previously a management consultant with McKinsey and Co. where he consulted to the mining industry on a global basis.
Michael began his professional career as a chemical engineer with Anglo American at one of the world’s largest gold and uranium mining operations in South Africa. Michael holds a Bsc Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa and read an M.A. at Oxford University where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
