Mick Esber is an expert technology leader with over 20 years’ experience working with start-ups and fast-moving tech organisations. To date his career has seen him work across Fintech, Health, Gaming and defence and now Social Media.
His passion for exploiting technology to enable business
transformation and new ways of working, are the driving force behind the creation of bhapi – the world’s first safe social media networks for families and kids.
As a contributing member of ISACA and IEEE, Mick is a thought leader and industry innovator. His entrepreneurial experience as a tech start-up founder and passion for solving real-world problems is the driving force behind his current Web 3.0 projects, building networks, protocols and digital apps.
Mick is also currently the Head of Technology at global cyber security company Wontok, where he drives the company's digital transformation program and provides cybersecurity, privacy and compliance leadership.
Born in Adelaide, throughout his career he has worked internationally, in Australia, Europe and Asia, in industries ranging from Defence and Security to Healthcare and Finance.
When he’s not creating new software, you’ll find Mick watching the AFL or Gaelic Football, playing poker, eating out at a Spanish restaurant or 3D printing with his kids.
