Michael Du is Managing Director, Head of Growth-Stage BG at China Renaissance and Partner of Huasheng Capital.
Mr. Du has led a number of important private placement and M&A transactions in the TMT industry, helping raise around $10billion financing for companies including Meituan, Ganji, Meilishuo, Tujia, Youxin, Changba, CAR, PPS, Bitauto,
Dang Dang and Qihoo; and complete M&A transactions valuing billions of dollars, including JD Daojia and Dada merger, LeTV acquiring Yidao, Vipshop acquiring Lefeng.com, Qihoo acquiring MediaV and ChinaSoft International acquiring PICA.
Prior to joining China Renaissance, Mr. Du was an investment director at Lenovo Group and was responsible for M&A, strategic and financial investments. Before his investment career, Mr. Du served as the manager of software development and Vice GM of Corporate Planning of Legend Advanced Systems, and GM of Legend-CA software Co. He has more than 10 years of operating experience in the IT industry.
Mr. Du holds an M.B.A. from CUHK and a B.Sc in engineering from Tsinghua University.
