Dosch has directed the program since 1991. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science from Mercy College of Detroit, and a Ph.D. from Wayne State University. His teaching/research interests include: Anesthesia Gas Machine, Applied Physics, Research Methods, Statistics, Attrition, and computer-based
testing. He is active in service to his profession including: Editorial Committee and peer reviewer for the AANA Journal, a member of the Certification Examination Committee of the National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), and many years service as an on-site reviewer (currently a Chair Reviewer) for the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs. He has published and spoken extensively on the anesthesia gas machine, electrical safety, and other topics. He also maintains an active clinical practice.
