Highly experienced in regulatory compliance of the investment management and financial services sectors, Partner Michael Didiuk counsels companies involved in marketplace lending, automated investment advice, blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) in navigating the complex regulatory environment. Michael joined Perkins Coie after almost
eight years at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, where he worked in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations in the SEC’s San Francisco Office, the Division of Investment Management and on the executive staff of two SEC Commissioners at the SEC’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. Prior to public service, Mike represented financial institutions in private practice for seven years, where he worked extensively on private fund matters such as formation, private placements, redemption and compliance issues and regularly provided advice regarding the application of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Commodity Exchange Act. During this time, Mike also represented clients going through SEC exams and prepared clients for registering with the SEC.
