Michael Bernhoerster, Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Catalina International, is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of Catalina's current International business and expansion efforts. He joined Catalina in July 2008.
Bernhoerster came to Catalina with an extensive background and solid experience leading
two major shopper packaged goods businesses in Europe: Procter & Gamble and S.C. Johnson. In his 13 years with Procter & Gamble in Germany, Italy, and Belgium, he held positions in strategic planning, sales, marketing, and advertising.
After leaving P&G, Bernhoerster spent 12 years with S.C. Johnson in Germany, London, and Japan. Bernhoerster was Managing Director of Marketing for Europe and President and CEO of Johnson & Co., Ltd., and Johnson Trading Company in Japan. He recently returned to Germany to lead as Group Managing Director of an expanded central (European) cluster of countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Slovac, Scandinavia, and the Czech Republic.
Bernhoerster holds a diploma in business administration from the Universität zu Köln in Cologne. He speaks fluent English and German and has basic knowledge of Italian, French, and Japanese.
