Mr. Michael Ayres, a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, joined Cumberland in 2003 to assist senior bankers in their financial advisory transactions. During his time with Cumberland he has worked with a number of municipal and governmental entity clients and has advised communities throughout
Tennessee on more than $3 billion in financings. Mr. Ayres has helped coordinate the preparation of debt financing timetables, municipal financing options, Official Statements and the development of presentations of financial plans and structures for the firm's various bond issues. Mr. Ayres is also involved in performing numerical analysis, technical financial structuring, and transaction processing support in all areas of municipal finance investment banking. Mr. Ayres, a former U.S. Marine Corps Non-Commissioned Officer, holds a license as a Registered General Securities Representative with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC).
