Maya Ash has served as a Non-Executive Director and strategic advisor across multiple sectors since 2013. Ms. Ash currently leads governance and funding strategy initiatives as Managing Director of PlayBox Technology, a global broadcast and ad server solutions company, where she has driven international growth and digital transformation since 2017.
She previously served as Vice President for Charity at the International Women’s Club Sofia, overseeing strategic planning and grant allocation for high-impact social initiatives. From 2023, she held board and financial committee leadership roles in heritage estate and property management organizations in the UK. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ash served as an Independent Development Director and Board Member for Our Premature Children Foundation, where she led fundraising and governance for neonatal care. She also pioneered virtual teaching formats as a visiting lecturer at New Bulgarian University, mentoring hundreds of students and securing multi-million-euro EU funding for media and education projects. Ms. Ash continues to serve as an evaluator for the European Commission and EACEA for Programmes Creative Europe, Financial Support Facility for Third Parties and Erasmus+, assessing project proposals in the media sector, business and technology, ESG and Higher education. She actively mentors women in cybersecurity and technology leadership, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ms. Ash is fluent in multiple languages and maintains strong professional and charitable ties to both the UK and Bulgaria. She holds a M.B.A. in Business and Communications and has completed advanced executive training in governance, executive coaching, and digital innovation.
