Max Salk is an investment analyst based in New York City. Originally from Illinois, Salk attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a B.S. in finance. While in college, he developed an interest in financial markets, and nurtured this interest by reading/watching financial news and researching/trading stocks
in his free time. Following graduation, Salk worked briefly as an analyst for Morningstar, before moving on to PPM in Chicago. During his tenure at PPM, his interest in markets expanded significantly as he followed companies, researched opportunities, and made predictions and suggestions based on his findings. Salk has industry experience in aerospace and defense, automotives, business services, chemicals, gaming, restaurants, and technology.
Max Salk, as in his career, maintains a variety of interests and passions outside of work. He has a website dedicated to his photography, which features landscape photography of his travels. He is also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Bears.
In addition, Salk has recently become more involved with the Navy SEAL Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money to support active-duty and Gold Star SEAL families.
