Mr. Beier comes to EDF Renewable Energy with over 25 years of domestic and international executive Information Technology experience. His background includes 11 years with Sempra Global where he designed and implemented the overall IT strategy while supporting the growth of the business unit from inception to three individual operating units, 4,000
employees and $5 billion in revenue.
Prior to joining Sempra Global, he was Vice President and CIO of Ocean Energy, Inc., where he directed the company-wide IT function including financial, international, engineering, administration, marketing and field support for this major independent energy company.
Mr. Beier was also Director of Computer Services and Infrastructure for El Paso Energy Corporation in Houston, where he directed the IT department, leading 140 employees who supported domestic and international operations.
Mr. Beier holds a B.S. in electrical engineering educational equivalent from Kiel University in Rendsburg, Germany, as well as course work in electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Texas in El Paso.
