Mr. Matt C. Thomas has been Chief Executive Officer of Australasia at ASCO Group Limited since June 2013. Mr. Thomas joined ASCO in June 2013. Mr. Thomas served as Senior Vice President Minerals for SGS in North America, responsible for the Minerals business across Canada, the US and Mexico. He served as the Regional Manager of Asia Pacific at
Coffey International Ltd., and served as its Chief Executive Officer of Coffey Geotechnics. After completing undergraduate degree he spent eight years working in senior management positions in local government authorities in Australia. Following that he entered the private sector in the position of General Manager for a chartered accountancy practice and 12 months later became Managing Director of an industrial services company where he supported its merger into a larger organisation and a subsequent ASX listing. He held senior executive roles in NACCO Materials Handling Group, MPL, Coffey International Limited, Coffey Environments and Coffey Geotechnics. Mr. Thomas holds an undergraduate Bachelor's degree in Business as well as a Masters in Leadership and Management and a Diploma in Company Directorship.
