Prior to Okta, Mr. Carter
worked as a product manager in cloud security for two different hyperscalers, AWS and OCI. Portfolio included IAM Access Analyzer, Web Application Firewall, Key Management, and Secrets. He started in Identity and Access Management with Netegrity in 2000 and has worked in pre-sales roles at BEA Systems, Oracle, and Axiomatics since then.
Matt lives in greater Boston with his wife, two dogs and two cats. and has three kids in college. He is into pickleball, kayaking on the Charles river, and science fiction. Fun facts: He has flown in an F-15, run with the bulls in Pamplona, and shaken hands with two US presidents.
