Matt Nappi currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Stony Brook University. He chairs the University's Information Security Program Council and oversees the Program implementation. He also assists in developing policy and procedure, coordinates the implementation of security related technologies, and helps balance
the risk posture of the organization with the mission of the University. Matthew holds many well-recognized industry certifications, including the CISSP, CISM, GIAC GSEC, GCED, GCIH, GCIA, GSTRT, MCITP and Project+, in addition to a Bachelor's Degree. He enjoys collaborating with his peers as a current REN-ISAC and GIAC Advisory board member.
