Mathew Brett joined AVRIO ENERGY LIMITED as Managing Director in 2020.Mathew Brett is Senior Vice President of International Development for BrightSource Energy. He brings 20 years of international energy industry and project financing experience to his role at BrightSource.
Prior to joining BrightSource Energy, Mathew co-founded and served as
Chief Executive Officer, Europe of Advanced Power AG, a leading international developer of independent power generation projects.
From 1998-2006, Mathew served as Director of Investment and Portfolio Management for InterGen where he led business development projects in Europe.
During his tenure at the global power generation firm, Mathew developed and sold the Knapsack Power Project, Germany’s first large-scale, gas-fired power project, and the Aldbrough Gas Storage Company.
Mathew began his career in finance with Ernst & Young and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG.
He holds a degree in business studies from University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield, United Kingdom.
