Markus Korsten is the Chief Manufacturing Officer at Apollo Tyres. He plays a pivotal role in benchmarking and implementing best practices in Apollo’s manufacturing facilities across geographies. He is instrumental in bringing the much-needed synergies across manufacturing facilities and creating an environment conforming to global standards.
Before joining Apollo Tyres, Markus was with Sumitomo Electric as Director of Manufacturing, handling the global responsibility of production, logistics, and quality. Prior to this, he was associated with Hymer AG, the market leader in luxury motor homes and caravans. He started his career with Continental AG in Germany and spent more than 15 years there. In his last position as Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, he handled the global responsibility of manufacturing of Commercial Vehicle Tires
Having joined Apollo in 2013, Markus brings with him a wealth of experience in multiple industries across geographies. His track record in bringing synergies and increased efficiencies in manufacturing will prove to be a valuable asset for the company as it continues on its growth trajectory
Korsten has an Engineering degree in Applied Physics from FH Aachen, Germany
