Mark started his career in 1993 as a founder of the VMS Group, a glass and disposables trading company. In 1999 he negotiated the sale of the company to one of its main competitors and then joined Gilde Investment Management in Utrecht as an associate in their buyout practice.
Mark Wetzels holds a Master's degree in Business Administration
from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and an MBA degree of the ESADE Business School in Barcelona, as well as one from the NYU Stern School of Business.
Within Egeria, Mark is responsible for the portfolio companies Royal Sanders and Dynniq. Mark is also a member of the Supervisory Boards of these companies.
