Mark Webb’s DATASHIELD consulting responsibilities include tactical decision making for operational issues; facilitating legal documents, corporate agreements, and employment policies; nurturing technical corporate and field-level relationships with primary business partners; growing and managing information security consultants; and providing
leadership to operations, consultants, and project managers.
Mr. Webb has more than 28 years of experience in the information technology industry including C/Unix/Database programming, along with management positions in professional services including software development, engineering, training, quality assurance, system integration, and storage and information security services. As CTO, he is responsible for DATASHIELD’s technical growth, revenue, and utilization targets as well as providing clients with quality information security solutions. Mr. Webb leads tactical and strategic direction concerning corporate business focus and oversees the company’s six major consulting practices: 2-Factor authentication, data loss prevention, adaptive authentication, eGRC, packet capture analysis, and Security Information Event Management solutions. His tactical responsibilities include scheduling, invoicing, consultant skills growth, and executive escalations.
Prior to co-founding DATASHIELD in 2009, Mr. Webb worked at several corporations ranging from mid-size, high-growth firms to three start-up endeavors. In addition to his engineering and sales roles at Dickens Data Systems, he served as Vice President of Professional Services at CTS for 13 years. During his CTS tenure he managed up to 165 project management and consulting resources; his leadership led to the successful growth of the company as a major entity in IT professional services and consulting and aided in the sale of CTS to a major technology value-added reseller.
Mr. Webb earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Georgia.
