Mark Trudel graduated from the University of Connecticut with a major in Economics in 1983. He began his insurance career in 1984 with Skandia America Reinsurance Co. as a reinsurance underwriter. Mark joined Balis & Co. Inc in 1987 as a reinsurance broker. Mark was responsible for servicing several of Farm Mutual’s reinsurance needs. In 1989
Mark joined GMI. Mark oversees all aspects of the company operations. He supervises the underwriting, marketing, accounting, computer systems, and administration and claims operations of GMI. Mark is personally involved in underwriting new and renewal business. Mark was appointed President of GMI in 1994.
