Mark S. Hacker is the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Lumen Technologies. Mark S. Hacker, 41, is senior vice
president & general counsel of Motorola Solutions. He leads the company’s legal and government affairs team.
Hacker joined Motorola in 2001 as a commercial counsel and previously was corporate vice president of commercial law for Motorola’s Sales & Product Operations. Prior to that, he was vice president of legal operations and also oversaw the company’s international legal teams. He has held a variety of other law leadership roles across Motorola’s business units. Prior to Motorola, Hacker was a corporate finance associate with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and an accountant with Arthur Andersen, both in Philadelphia.
He is a member of the Illinois and Pennsylvania state bars, has been a CPA, and serves as a volunteer adjunct professor at Northwestern University Law School. Hacker is on the board of directors of the 100 Club of Chicago, an organization that provides for the families of police officers, firefighters and paramedics who have lost their lives in the line-of-duty.
Hacker earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Villanova University and a law degree from Villanova’s law school.
