Mark Pols is a principal in GGV Capital's Silicon Valley office where he focuses on the e-commerce, online travel, digital content, alternative finance and enterprise software spaces. Prior to joining GGV, Mark worked in Amazon’s corporate development group where he looked after partnerships, acquisitions and investments in China. Earlier in
his career, he was an investment banker for 15 years of which he spent 8 years in China executing financing and strategic transactions for many of China’s leading technology companies. During his time in China, Mark established Piper Jaffray’s local offices in Shanghai before returning to Morgan Stanley’s technology investment banking team for whom he had previously worked in London and Silicon Valley.
Mark graduated from Delft University with an MSc in Aerospace Engineering and from Erasmus University with an MSc in Economics.
