Mark Milliner was appointed CEO Australia to lead the Australia Division created in July 2017. He joined IAG in April 2016 as Chief Operating Officer, bringing with him more than 20 years experience in leading and growing insurances businesses. Prior to joining IAG, Mr Milliner held several senior roles at Suncorp, most recently CEO Personal
Insurance, where he used his extensive insurance and organizational change management experience to lead 11 consumer brands including AAMI, GIO and Suncorp Insurance. Before this he was Group Executive, Commercial Insurance responsible for all the Suncorp Group Commercial Insurance businesses operating in Australia, including the Suncorp, GIO and Vero brands, as well as the group’s Workers Compensation and Compulsory Third Party insurance businesses. Mark was appointed to the board of the Insurance Council of Australia in 2009, and he is committed to increasing private and public sector investment into insurance affordability, and disaster resilience and mitigation of Australian communities. He was born and raised in Brisbane, enjoys fishing and is a former first-grade rugby player.
