Mark graduated with a MA in Economics with Accountancy from Aberdeen University in 1989. He started his financial career as an auditor at KPMG in Aberdeen, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1992. In 1995, Mark joined KCA Drilling as Financial Controller and continued to hold overall responsibility for all of the company’s financial activity
(now known as KCA Deutag Drilling Group) during his time there; most recently, holding the position of Group Finance Director. Mark joined the board of ASCO Group in February 2013 as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all financial activity as well as the group’s IT function.
