Mark Gem is Chair of the Clearstream Risk Committee, a Member of the Executive Board for Clearstream International and represents Luxembourg on the board of SWIFT. Among his responsibilities in recent years, Mark established and led Clearstream's compliance function of Clearstream Banking Luxembourg as Chief Compliance Officer. Previously he
was responsible for Clearstream's Strategy, Product Management, Network Management, Business Communications and Pricing. He led the development of Clearstream's approach to Target2-Securities. Mark represented Clearstream on the European Central Bank's T2S governance boards, the CSD Steering Group and the T2S Advisory Group. Mark was the founding Chairman of LuxCSD, Luxembourg's national CSD and has previously served as Vice-Chairman of the European CSD Association, ECSDA.
