Mark is Professor of Engineering Science, University of Limerick and is the founder of Hooke Bio. He has extensive experience in the commercialization of research having co-founded and held the position of CEO of Stokes Bio which he sold to Life Technologies in 2010 for $44m. He holds numerous patents from his time at Stokes Bio as well as recent
patent applications related to Hooke Bio Ltd. He is a fellow of the US National Academy of Inventors.
