Mark Chaplin is the Head of Strategic Products and Tools at Information Security Forum. Mark is an information risk management professional with over 20 years of experience in the IT / information security industry. He has worked in diverse roles from consultancy to information security governance and strategy for blue-chip organisations.
Prior to joining the ISF Mark was responsible for information security at a multinational FTSE 250 company.
Mark has extensive experience of working in IT services, Security and Manufacturing environments, and uses this knowledge to add value to the ISF's 300 plus global Member organisations. Marke believes in a risk-based, business-oriented approach to protecting critical and sensitive information, while complying with the requirements of internal standards, contracts, regulation and legislation.
Mark runs global research projects for the ISF, and is well recognised by information security professionals and CISO's across many of the ISF Members. His role includes facilitating workshops, producing a wide range of services and products (eg executive guides, detailed reports, practical tools, informative webcasts and presentational material) and presenting at international conferences and e-symposiums on research project findings, hot topics in information security, and future trends in information risk.
