Mark Brady is the Managing Director, Global Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at William Blair & Company. William Blair is a premier global boutique investment banking and asset management firm based in Chicago, Illinois and services clients across the globe. Australia.
Brady has over twenty-five years experience at William Blair and became a partner in 1996. During his time at William Blair, he has completed over 150 transactions in 20 different countries. Brady was involved with the $3 billion spinoff of Collier's from FirstService, the sale of Boulder Brands to Pinnacle Foods, and the sale of Woodstream to Vestar Capital. In 2016, William Blair completed 92 sell side transactions aggregating $28.7 billion and in 2017, William Blair was number one in volume for transactions in the U.S. with private equity involvement.
In 2017, William Blair was named Mergers and Acquisitions Magazine’s Investment Bank of the Year and in 2012, William Blair’s success led Brady to be named the Dealmaker of the Year by M&A Magazine. He was also named the Investment Banker of the Year by Investment Deals Digest in 2008.
Brady continuously gives back to his Chicago community. He is a board member of Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, a nonprofit that services at-risk youth, and Communities in Schools Chicago, the nation's leading dropout prevention organization. Brady graduated with his B.A. in economics from Northwestern University. In 1991, he completed his MBA in Accounting and Finance from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
