As a Castile advisor, Mark Ain offers guidance and operational insights to Castile portfolio companies, drawing on over three decades of experience navigating the challenges faced by growing businesses and with a deep familiarity within the software industry.
Mr. Ain founded Kronos (NASDAQ: KRON) in 1977 and as CEO led it to become one of the
world's most successful software companies. In June 2007, Kronos was acquired by the private equity firm Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners for $1.8 billion. In 2005, Mr. Ain transitioned from CEO to become Chairman of the Board of Directors, a position in which he continues to serve.
Mr. Ain has a BS in electrical engineering from MIT, and an MBA from the Simon School at the University of Rochester. Mr. Ain is a Director for several public, private and non-profit companies.
