In the early 1990’s Mr. Adair designed and built the first testing facility accepted to perform emissions and performance testing by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). He continued to design, build and manage diesel test cells accepted by the US EPA and CARB from 1991 to 2005. During this time he managed hundreds of diesel emission control
research and development projects. Three of the laboratories accepted by CARB initially built by Mr. Adair are still in operation today. Mr. Adair has designed and managed the certification of several emissions control products, including a Clean Air Technology Inc. catalyst unit that was certified with a Kia Motors Euro 2 diesel engine. Mark Adair also managed the research and development laboratory while working as a consultant for Cummins Engine (West) which operated Cleaire, a division of the company focused on emission control products. Under his leadership several Cleaire products were verified by the California Air Resources Board.
