Mark A. Carano is Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, and Treasurer for Babcock & Wilcox (B&W), which is a leader in
energy and environmental products and services for power and industrial markets worldwide. In his position, Carano is responsible for leading B&W’s corporate strategy and merger and acquisition activities. He provides oversight, leadership and direction as the company identifies, evaluates and pursues new business opportunities and strategic partnerships. As Treasurer, he is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of the company's corporate finance and treasury operations functions. Carano joined B&W in 2013 after serving as a Managing Director in theInvestment Banking Group of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York since 1996. Prior to that, he was in the Investment Banking Group of Deutsche Bank in New York, London and Baltimore. He has a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, and a master’s degree from Kellogg Business School, Northwestern University.
