Marissa Ritchen, AIA, RA, NCARB is Chief Industry Officer at Kestrel Labs, where she leads industry strategy, product validation, and customer engagement across the architecture, engineering, and construction ecosystem.
A licensed architect with more than 15 years of experience, Marissa has led complex residential, commercial, and landmark
projects across the United States. Prior to Kestrel, she served as Architectural Director at Electric Bowery, Project Manager at Shawmut Design and Construction, and held senior leadership roles at Rowland+Broughton.
Her experience spans architecture, construction, and client leadership, giving her a practical understanding of how design teams navigate building codes, project delivery, and permitting requirements in real-world practice. At Kestrel, she helps ensure that compliance technology fits naturally into the workflows architects use every day.
Marissa combines deep industry expertise with a commitment to advancing the profession through technology. Her work focuses on helping firms identify code issues earlier, reduce rework, and improve the quality and speed of permit submissions through BIM-native compliance tools.
