Dr. Marcus Weller’s work centers around brain-inspired AI architectures. Currently, he is focused on accelerating American innovation as CEO of Deepinvent, the first AI that can innovate and file original patents in minutes, not months.
In 2012, Marcus founded one of the first consumer Augmented Reality companies in Silicon Valley. He has been
invited to speak about his work at Stanford, LeWeb, SXSW, CES, MWC, and tech events in more than 30 cities and 11 countries.
Over the last 15 years, he has been a Founder, Board Member, and Advisor to startups spanning AI, Spatial Computing, Robotics, Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), and Biotechnology.
In Government, Marcus has worked for over a decade to advance the interests of the United States as a Science Diplomat for the Humboldt Foundation, and as an author and speaker on AI and Foreign Policy. Marcus also serves as a Senior Advisor to DARPA on projects of strategic interest to National Security.
Marcus also volunteers his time to mentor promising entrepreneurs at Universities around the world.
