Marcus Tyle is a Smart Metering Systems Specialist working for Ergon Energy in the areas of Metering Asset Management and remote area smart card based Prepayment Metering since December 2014.
Key interests are in the integration, evolution and innovative adaptation of IP based telecommunications and smart metering/grid systems to provide
information services.
Work experience include Smart Metering Systems Consultant from October 2013 and previous with Energex as Manager Metering Systems Strategy covering metering systems strategy, systems implementation for data collection and configuration management for the National Electricity Market and Energex SmartGrid Systems.
He started in the Electricity Industry in 1980 with the Queensland Electricity Commission in transmission protection.
In 1993 moved to Energex with roles in metering specification, standards, contract management, business development and supporting product development and metering infrastructure systems for the Australian National Electricity Market, Networks and Consumers.
