MARCUS LYONS - APARTMENT AND RENTAL HOME DEVELOPER IN CHATTANOOGA, TN The largest build-to-rent developer in East Tennessee, Marcus Lyons of Chattanooga has planned and developed several multimillion-dollar apartment and rental home projects throughout the region. These include a $19 million project involving the construction of 128 single-family
homes in East Brainerd, Bridgeview on Chattanooga's North Shore, and Museum Bluffs, the latter of which is a multi-use complex with apartments and businesses. Marcus Lyons has managed his own firm since 2009.
In addition to his work as a developer, he has experience as a multifamily apartment broker. He spent six years in this capacity at Berkadia, where he facilitated in excess of $700 million in multifamily sales for clients throughout Tennessee. This includes the sale of five apartment buildings for a combined $3.9 million, as well as the $40.5 million sale of an apartment complex near Hamilton Place mall, the second-most expensive transaction involving a complex in Hamilton County.
Mr. Lyons belongs to the National Multifamily Housing Council and the National Apartment Association. He received a B.A. in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2009.
