Marcelo Blay is the Founder and CEO of Minuto Seguros, the leading online insurance broker in Brazil. Minuto Seguros is revolutionizing how Brazilians are buying insurance by leveraging the internet to offer more selection, better prices and superior costumer service across a broad variety of insurance products.
Marcelo has more than 28 years of
experience in the insurance industry. For 10 years, he was the head of auto and health insurance products at Porto Seguro, the largest auto insurance company in Brazil. He was also COO of retail insurance at Itaú Seguros.
Marcelo was the Vice President of the Insurers Union of São Paulo; Vice-Chairman of fraud combat at the National Insurance Federation (FENASEG), a board member at Tempo Participações (TEMP3) and Administrative and Financial Vice President of the non-governmental organization UNIBES. Blay is a board member at Hospital Albert Einstein in São Paulo.
Marcelo Blay graduated in mechanical engineering from Maua Engineering School and has MBAs from FGV in Brazil and Columbia University in New York.
