In this role, Mr. Parrish oversees all aspects of our Membership program, manages our various marketing initiatives (e.g., direct, e-mail, community), and executes programs to retain and grow our customers’ loyalty to the Barnes & Noble brands.
Mr. Parrish is a 20-year veteran of e-commerce and has been on the cutting edge of e-marketing
since its inception, building large, direct marketing-driven e-commerce sites and online communities, as well as executing multi-channel retailing strategies.
Before joining Barnes & Noble, he held senior marketing and management roles at Jigsaw (acquired by Salesforce.com), Capcom Entertainment, where he helped launch the online entertainment business; Palm Inc., where he helped initiate the e-commerce business; and Egghead.com (acquired by Amazon).
Mr. Parrish has an MBA from UCLA and an engineering degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
